Mexico-
CNN News and Traveling- In my opinion, traveling is the the great equalizer to the fallacy of the news media. I watched CNN for a little while in a hotel room in Palenque, Mexico, and was appalled at how they presented the world as if it was falling apart to shambles: death, famine, and infanticide the world over! Then I looked out my window, just to ensure that the the world really was still tranquilo. It was. Traveling is the only way that I know of to find out the real stories behind the news.

Mexico- Hotel in Palenque Mexico- How I find hotels while traveling, and the work that I put into doing this.

Guatemala- How to get to Tikal Guatemala- Made it to Tikal just to have to hide out from the park rangers. Unintentional mischief.

Guatemala- Bus from Antigua to Flores Guatemala - A "nice Pullman bus" suddenly turned into a chicken bus.

Guatemala- The Joy of Traveling - A letter from my aunt reveals that she is just beginning to discover the joys of traveling at the age of 40. It is never too late to set out on the open road.

Guatemala- Example Traveler- Watched a girl wash her laundry by hand, learn Spanish, and try to make herself more self-sufficient, so I wrote a blog post about it.

The links in this post are pointing to files on your hard drive. Might want to fix that.
